Homemade Dry Shampoo With Ingredients You Already Have! (Plus the secret to applying it)
Ever wonder what’s in your dry shampoo spray from the store? You probably don’t want to know!
Some dry shampoo sprays are actually damaging to your health. There is a safer and cheaper way to use dry shampoo! And the best part? This natural dry shampoo recipe only uses two ingredients and you most likely already have them in your kitchen.
Let’s get down to it!
Here’s what you need:
1/4 cup cornstarch (absorbs oil)
1/4 baking soda (odor eliminator)
Feel free to add some essential oil to the mixture. I personally don’t add anything to mine, but a little fragrance would be a nice finish!
Now, there is a special trick to putting it on! Some people will say to poke holes in a jar and sprinkle it on your hair. Let me tell you.. that is easier said than done! There is a much easier way!
Store the dry shampoo powder in a jar. Use a large size make-up brush to brush it into your hair. Simple dip the brush in the powder and brush it into your hair the same way you’d put powder on your face. Use your fingers to “fluff” your hair and evenly distribute the powder.
